OUR BOARD
PROF NENFORT GOMWALK was the vice chancellor, Plateau State University Bokkos. He holds a PhD in virology from the University of Reading England. Prior to this he was Vice Chancellor University of Jos (1994-1999), Commissioner for Health, Plateau State (1990-1992), Commissioner for Education, Plateau State (1989-1990), Consultant Virology JUTH (1988-2005), Prof. and Head of dept. of Microbiology (1988-2005), Lecturer, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (1971-1988). He is the Chairman of several Boards, NGOs and Voluntary organizations. He is currently the President of Plateau Indigenous Development Association (PIDAN) and the President of Ngas Development Association.
DR. IKOEDEM J. IBANGA (OON) is the Executive Director of Pro-Health International, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing free health care and health education to poor rural dwellers in Africa. He bagged an MBBS from the University of Ibadan College of Medicine and a Master`s degree in Human Anatomy from the University of Calabar, College of Medical Sciences, Nigeria. His services to humanity have been recognised with several national and international awards such as the National Honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger by President Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR in recognition of outstanding virtues, and Humanitarian award for providing free health services to rural communities in Nigeria and Africa by Nto Annang Foundation USA.
SENATOR PATRICIA AKWASHIKI is a seasoned banker and political icon. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. She has worked as an information officer at the Federal Ministry of information Lagos and rose to the position of a Senior Manager at Lion Bank of Nigeria Plc. As the first female representative in Nassarawa State, she was a member Federal House of Representative (Akwanga-Wamba and Nassarawa Eggon Constituency) and Senate Member (Nassarawa North Senatorial District).
PROF MUSLIH T. YAHAYA is a professor of Islamic and Arabic Studies at the University of Jos. He holds a Ph.D. in Arabic Literature and Master`s degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies both from the University Ibadan, Nigeria. Prof. Muslih is a member of several learned and professional associations and is actively engaged in services to several academic institutions nationally and internationally. He has several inter-faith related publications and writings to his credit.
MRS SALAMATU SULEIMAN is seasoned Legal practioner she holds an LLM with distinction from the London School of Economics and Political Science University of London England. She is also a member of several Professional associations. She was a Minister of State II Foreign Affairs (2010-2011), Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development (2008-2011), Secretary to the securities and Exchange Commission and Director Legal Services, Legal Adviser Aluminium Smelter Company of Nigeria Limited (ALSCON), and Company Secretary Continental Merchant Bank Nigeria Plc.
LADY ELIZABETH T.O SOREMEKUN is the Group Managing Director of Ocean Rise Company Limited, Barclays Travels Limited and Grand Bee Limited. She worked at Barclay`s Bank (now Union Bank) for several years and later started her business. She is well experienced in the area of diversified management.
HAJIYA. BILKISU YUSUF (mni) is the Executive Director, Advocacy Nigeria, a movement working for the reduction of maternal and child mortality. A political scientist by training and journalist by profession. She holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison USA and an Advanced Diploma in journalism from Moscow Institute of Journalism and International Relations, Moscow. She is an adviser to the Nigerian President on International Affairs and a Columnist for Daily Trust Newspapers.

ESTHER IBANGA is the Pastor of Jos Christian Missions International and the President and Founder of Women without Walls Initiative, an organisation established as a result the incessant ethno-religious conflicts that has rocked Plateau for over a decade. Under her leadership, WOWWI has provided a platform for women across different ethnic and religious groups to activate their voices in the call for peace. Esther formed an all-inclusive and nonviolent approach to conflict resolution and peace building through women. Areas of focus include engaging youths prone to violence in flash points where dialogue and developmental projects were undertaken as entry points to addressing the grievances of foot soldiers. Women without walls Initiative is also the first to introduce and conduct community policing successfully in two volatile communities in Jos. Nigeria.Ms Ibanga holds a BSC Business Administration in the Institute of Administration Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and an MBA in Business Administration, University of Jos. She had worked as a marketing officer, with Jos Steel Rolling Mills and Central Bank of Nigeria for 16 years as a Manager in banking operations, Jos with special supervision of commercial Banks, before her voluntary retirement in order to take up pastoring the church.She is a recipient of various peace awards with the latest being the Niwano Peace Prize award Japan, in recognition of her work with Women without Walls Initiative.
